HISTORY

FOUNDERS OF CANSTRUCTION®
Canstruction was brought to Vancouver by George Kallas of Metropolitan Fine Printers after witnessing the event in New York. Since its launch in 2003 by a committee of volunteers the event has broken records ever since! Signals Design Group, who have shaped the visual aspects of the event from conception, won a Canstruction® national award for the inaugural website, as well as industry recognition for their graphic and charitable program. With over 750,000 cans of food raised for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society, every one of our committed sponsors, partners, competition teams, volunteers and supporters share in our extraordinary success.

Canstruction® Vancouver is the local chapter of Canstruction®, a global anti-hunger project, founded by the Society of Design Administration, an affiliate organization of the American Institute of Architects.

See www.canstruction.com for information on how to bring this trademarked event to your city.
